There is a minimum age limit for being named a Rising Star, and no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys are selected for the list. Applicants must be 40 years old or younger, have less than 10 years of experience, and be in practice for at least five years. While all attorneys go through the same selection process for Super Lawyers, a different 2.5% are named as Rising Stars each year. Rising Stars is limited to two percent of attorneys in each state.
