Rising Stars are attorneys under 40 years old who have only been practicing law for ten years or less. There is a minimum age limit for being named a Rising Star, and no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys are selected for the list. The Rising Stars list also highlights the accomplishments of individual attorneys from each practice area.

Applicants must be 40 years old or younger, have less than 10 years of experience, and be in practice for at least five years.
